Ooooooh. Your superpower is that you are a...

Vibrant Voracious Voyeur!

(No, not the sexual variety… stick with me here!)

Which is really just a whole lot of juicy big words to say that you, my lettery friend, love to dive deep into all there is to learn about creativity and the topics you adore.

You’re the sort of creative who buys all the courses, watches all the videos, and loves learning the why behind what you’re doing.

You’re the one we turn to when we can’t understand the difference between brushes, or blend modes; or remember where that weird setting was that’s buried deep in the belly of the app we’re using.

Sometimes though, if you’re being completely honest with yourself, you get so caught up in the watching, that you forget to jump in and play. (That’s where the voyeur thing comes in, I told you it was worth sticking with.)

You love the deeply inquisitive artists who took time to discover what worked and shared their passion with the world.

You believe rules are there for a reason, you love to learn them all so that you know where the limits lie, but believe they should be set in jelly, not in stone. You learn so that you know what’s available to create with, and you inspire those around you with your vibrant love for all you’ve learnt.

Your knowledge runs deep, and inspires you to connect with other like-minded creatives, to imagine what is possible to create with all of these newfound things you’ve learned.

Such a beautiful world of possibility lies ahead of you!

You're probably pretty great at:

  • Learning new things.
  • Understanding why we create in certain ways.
  • Knowing all of the technical terms and app settings (for digital art).
  • Sharing your knowledge.

And maybe struggle a little with:

  • Taking action on what you’ve learnt.
  • Developing a consistent creative practice.
  • Taking creative risks.
  • Stretching yourself to try new things.

Now... can I let you in on a something?

I love meeting creatives like you.

Even though we’re very different when it comes to how we approach creativity (I have a tendency to dive in without thinking, to encourage play, and to forget the technical terms for…. pretty much everything), I love your passion for learning, your desire for understanding, and your heart for creativity.

In case we haven’t met before…  Hi, I’m Liss. I’ve been lettering since early 2014, which feels like exactly 5.78 lifetimes ago.

I started first with a brush and ink, then proceeded to buy all the pens I could get my hands on here in Australia (it was a lot, but also never enough!).

Then in early 2016, I bought an iPad Pro + Apple Pencil and downloaded Procreate.

I loved it, then hated it, and struggled to really get into it for a long time.

Now, not only do I own a few more iPads, but I’ve created an entire library of lettery learning content to share with other letter lovers.

If you want to dive a little deeper into who I am (and since your creative style is like mine, I’m going to assume you’ll want to do that just like I would)…. you can find me over on Instagram as Letter Lovers Club, and also my personal account.

So where to from here??

Well first up, I’ve had my magical tech machines send a copy of this to the email address you popped in just before so that you can refer to it whenever you need a little creative confidence boost.

And over the next few days I’m going to send you a few more emails sharing my approach to creativity, inspiration, and iPad Lettering Learning, as well as tell you about some of the ways you can work with me if you feel like we’re a good fit.

If that doesn’t sound like fun, or you’ve already read this page and realised we’re not a good fit, please go ahead and hit the unsubscribe link in the email you’ll have received.
